Founded in 1847, St Peter’s College is an Anglican boarding and day school for boys committed to being an exceptional community of learning centered on truth, respect and service.

Job Description

About the position:

St Peter’s College is seeking applications for an experienced and values-driven OSHC Coordinator. This is a permanent part-time role (30 hours per week).

Working closely with the Head of Junior School, the OSHC Coordinator provides daily leadership of a high-quality, child safe Outside School Hours Care program. The role ensures strong supervision, consistent compliance and guidance from the Ausralian Children’s Education & Care Quality Authority (ACECQA)

Planning, documentation, and practice are guided by the School’s values and Anglican ethos, the Reggio Emilia approach, and the My Time, Our Place framework.

The Coordinator leads before and after school care, and Vacation Care operations, ensuring engaging, age-appropriate programming while maintaining robust child safety and compliance systems.

Desired Skills and Experience

As the successful applicant you will:

  • Have a willingness to actively support the School’s values and Anglican ethos.
  • ACECQA-approved Diploma or Degree qualification in OSHC or school age education and care.
  • Demonstrated knowledge of the National Law and Regulations, ESB requirements, and ACECQA standards.
  • Proven experience leading teams in OSHC or a similar education and care setting.
  • Exercises sound judgement in supervision and ensuring child safety.
  • Communicates effectively while maintaining a calm and proactive approach.
  • Proficient in managing schedules, maintaining accurate documentation and adhering to compliance processes and procedures.
  • Food preparation certificate or relevant training/awareness.
  • Have a South Australian Working with Children Check.
  • Provide evidence of completed training in Responding to Risks of Harm, Abuse and Neglect – Education and Care and First Aid.
